Holidays in Egypt
Flora and fauna From what grows and moves on earth, the following were noted: of course, dromedaries are one-humped camels (which have delicate and silky lips, as the women at the hotel noted); many cats – just as they were depicted in Egyptian frescoes and paintings, with an elongated body, graceful and piercing eyes, in which the history and truth of the pharaohs and pyramids were hidden; the same as we have, arrogant crows, the ubiquitous sparrows (also arrogant); date palms (by the way, they have a bare trunk, because they are sheared so, leaving only a curly top so that they bear fruit more actively, otherwise they would look like an overgrown bush); something reminiscent of our southern magnolias, with stunning white flowers with an indescribable aroma and a whole lot of some odorous, flowering, flowery and pinkish flowers and flowers.
But the special joy, of course, is the water and underwater world of the Red Sea, which can be observed right on the coast. Acquaintance with him on my first day began with “pedicure” fish: a small size of gray muffins that pounced on my feet and ankles just half a meter from the shore and started, almost munching aloud, peeling off my skin … it was horny and I no longer needed it at least, but very tasty for them. This fish tickled so nicely on my ankles that I, knee-deep in water, squealed and moaned almost orgasmically, attracting the attention of a few females, pitching their generous sides in the African sun. Nearby, very adventurous Arabs (or not at all, since the same service was free at ten meters) kept a booth where anyone could put their stumps in the aquarium a hundred liters and let their fish eat those feet that were already swimming in captivity.
Among other things that were personally noticed were: corals, which, by the way, are not red and in the form of known branches, as we used to see on TV, but rather, in the form of giant brain convolutions breathing life, from gray to dark blue; butterfly fish and small fish – “in search of Nemo”, bright yellow, striped, small, scurrying back and forth in pairs; fish, fish of the car body family (I later learned that it was car body, or in German – fish-cases, as we had on the billboard, with poisonous skin – and I was going to dive after them!), unperturbed, with a characteristic square-rectangular-angular shape of the body, brown color in bright spots, delighting with its unusualness.
Also on the fifth day in the pontoon in the silt, I found something resembling giant worms or cucumbers, moving slowly and instantly at a speed of 10 cm per day. And when it’s late in the evening (it’s late — it is in Egypt somewhere at 7-8 o’clock in the evening, since already at 6 the sun is rapidly hiding behind the sea horizon so that at 4 in the morning you can knock loudly at your window if you (he didn’t draw it from yesterday), went to a distant outpost, then in the gathering twilight I found a red fish with fins spread out in different directions, peacefully “grazing” at the very surface. As I later learned, it was a scorpion fish. In our opinion – a giant ruff. I also had the opportunity to see with my own eyes a sea black urchin, a needle fish (in any case, it was of such a shape up to 30–40 cm long), as well as catching “kalemari” or squid, which looked more like cuttlefish, with huge, simple the unbearably pitiful eyes of the cephalopod mollusk, which I offered to release for the fee, Mohammed from Aswan, who had caught him, which he did not agree to, saying that there is nothing tastier than “kalemari” in the world.
Even in the Red Sea there are several species of dolphins that I have never seen, sea turtles, stingrays and someone else there … Food and drinks As much as the sea was delighted with its corals and various cucumbers there, it was so … how to say it softer … lack of appetite Egyptian four-star food and drink. On the very first day, like the one who flies to Thailand or Cuba, having heard about cheap sex, gets a Russian cookie in the form of transgender transformers, or I don’t know what they are called there, I didn’t, I heard enough about free bars and various kinds of drinks in them: rum, whiskey, sambuca, beer. I will tell you the truth: all lies! Bypassing all the hotel bars on the first day, I realized that a Slavic misfortune had happened: I would never get drunk there. Since Egypt is a Muslim country, alcohol is allowed in it only on the territory of such establishments like our hotel. Yes, and alcohol there, so to speak, spread out to the most Egyptian oranges. Photo: Depositphotos For all occasions – be it rum or vodka – a plastic bottle with the standard inscription “12 years” and Arabic script. And to the taste … pah, diluted with lukewarm Egyptian vodka of degrees no more than twenty, a drink called whiskey, rum, vodka, sambuca – and then, as you wish, at least thirty-year-old French cognac.
